R2 Labs is a venture studio. Every company we originate is grounded in one of four protected foundations: durable AI context, biomimetic agent coordination, clinical engagement, and behavioral financial intelligence.
We build a prototype, prove the thesis and partner with an operating team to further the cause.
Our job is to start things that are hard to start, prove they work, and hand them off.
Every R2 Labs company starts with a patent and a problem — a piece of protected IP, and a specific, painful gap in a regulated industry that the IP is uniquely suited to solve.
We pair the two with a founding team and take the company through its earliest proof points: a working product, a paying customer, a defensible position. When it's ready to scale, we recruit an operating CEO and transition to a board role.
R2 Labs does the hardest part — the zero-to-one — and then gets out of the way.
Each portfolio company draws from one or more of our four protected IP foundations. Healthcare is where we've proven the model; it isn't where we're confined.
Agentic CRM for pharma–provider engagement. Scalable, compliance-ready, deployed across national oncology networks.
Agentic context runtime. Persistent, governable, model-portable context for agent systems built in regulated enterprises.
Vertical agent platform for healthcare workflows, with native integrations to clinical and commercial systems of record.
Behavioral financial intelligence at the front door of care. Willingness-to-pay scoring, propensity segmentation, financial clearance.
Longitudinal patient engagement platform for coordinated care across providers, payers, and community support networks.
AI companion for physicians — continuous, case-based learning grounded in real practice patterns and current evidence.
R2 Labs is grounded in a portfolio of issued and filed patents that form the structural foundation for every company we originate. Rather than building on general-purpose AI infrastructure, each operating company draws from one or more of four protected domains.
The foundation of our agentic work.
We treat context — intent, preferences, constraints, decision patterns — as a first-class computational object, learned over time and decoupled from any individual model. Our context framework persists across sessions, evolves through interaction, decays selectively, and transfers across heterogeneous language models without replaying interaction history. This enables durable reasoning continuity, auditability, and model-portability at enterprise scale — capabilities that become non-negotiable as AI moves into industries where the cost of being wrong is high.
Agent intelligence is not enough.
Agents must coordinate at scale without collision, conflict, or over-targeting. Our work draws on the most-tested distributed systems in nature — flocking behaviors where local rules produce globally optimized outcomes, and alignment-and-avoidance systems that maintain coherence without central control. These patterns power multi-agent orchestration across domains from clinical engagement to supply chain coordination.
Relationships, not transactions.
A set of patents governing how interactions between stakeholders in complex networks are measured, priced, validated, and coordinated. Our frameworks quantify the quality and relevance of every interaction, orchestrate contextual exchanges across multi-party ecosystems, and enable transparent, outcome-anchored value exchange. Proven first in healthcare; extensible to any industry where relationships — not transactions — drive outcomes.
Beyond static credit scores.
The application of context and signal-extraction to financial behavior. Our scoring frameworks derive longitudinal behavioral signatures from social, financial, demographic, and operational signals — going beyond static credit scores to capture dynamic, qualitative measures of ability and intent. A companion set of patents governs financial monitoring and diagnostics in networked environments. Applications span consumer finance, enterprise finance, and healthcare.
